My friend Barbara thinks that the work I’ve been doing on my brain is moving energy around my body and it’s somehow settling (or unsettling) in my stomach.
Barbara is very smart, but she’s not a doctor. So, suffering from stomach problems, I went to mine.
She did tests, which showed nothing alarming. She prescribed probiotics and they did make things better.
But I think my sensitive stomach is telling me something. I’m trusting my gut, and starting to eat quinoa.
Why? I was told to, by my yoga teacher, Amy, and some health conscious friends.
But I had to google quinoa to find out that it’s a complete protein, with all nine essential amino acids. It’s a relative of leafy green vegetables like spinach and swiss chard, but when I mix it with oatmeal, it’s got snap, crackle and pop.
