Amy advised me to try eating dulse, a type of seaweed that’s rich in nutrients.
My local health food store didn’t carry it. So I turned to Dulce de Leche, my favorite brand of Haagen Dazs. It was left over from Thanksgiving and I needed to make room in the freezer.
But today I found dulse at Whole Foods. I did as Amy told me – threw it into a pan. “It gets crispy and tastes like bacon!” she said.
It does not taste like bacon. But it does taste good. Salty, sweet, and crunchy. Six degrees from bacon.
